Is there anything better than a map so full of pins you can’t even see the map anymore?

Okay, maybe there is, but forgive us if we’re excited.
You see, last year Gigwalk signed on a little company called Microsoft to help them with a huge project - taking photos of the insides of businesses for Bing maps
A lot of you made hundreds, even thousands of dollars doing these Gigs, and because of your amazing work. Microsoft has come back, even bigger than before. There will be over 100,000 Gigs in the system, and every state in the US is getting some love.
So, over the next few weeks, if you zoom out the map, it’s going to look like the picture to the right…
Photosynth is a pretty awesome app. It lets you take panoramic photos of anything. However, it does take practice to get used to it and take the kind of photos that Microsoft is looking for.
There are also several resources available to learn how to use photosynth and get some tips:
Video: Gigwalker Fernando N. was nice enough to share some of his trade secrets in a set of videos (he did hundreds of these Gigs last time so needless to say, he’s a pro)
FAQs: What do I do if the place is out of business? How do I submit the pictures? These and many more common questions will be answered on our FAQs. This will be updated as we go along and hear the questions coming in as well!
Facebook: The community is a great source for information! Ask and answer questions with other Gigwalkers. (A lot of times if you have a question, someone else may have the same one).
